Hongkong, a city I fund very intriguing, especially Hongkong Island. Soon I will add more detail.
Neon lights everywhere ....
The "double decker streetcars" are quite a sight.
Hongkong Island viewed from the Star Ferry on my way back ....
Dunno what the reason for this procedure was .... but it seems to bring luck to the store owner. I am sure Alex knows all about it. Right?

the "lion" are for store opening... store hire these guys from martial arts schools, and the students come with a truck together with all their equipment... "lion" costume+drums+gongs+whatever. and is quite expensive...
this store looks like a traditional jewelery (gold) store, that explains why the traditional celebration. apparently, it's customary to set off fireworks (to ward off evil) during such events... but this has now been banned for safety reasons.
For some special/personal functions (birthdays?) they use an "unicorn". But if you really want to blow some money, say for a community celebration, you could hire a "dragon" which means 40+ dragon-people and even more musicians that make a hell of a lot of noise...
